Chunk Of Mass Effect Team Quits BioWare

CVG recently had a news article that forum member Gikoku posted on, informing us that a chunk of Biowares team that have been working on the massively awaited title Mass Effect have quit the company to pursue other things. This has been only a rumour and hasnt been confirmed. Bioware have been unavailable to comment but news shall be updated as we hear about it.

Rumour was false and nothing more than rumour from ‘tipsters’.
Biowares Chris Priestly has said that this is untrue and that CVG posted news from ‘tipsters’ as fact and it is totally false.
Sorry, but that is just untrue. I like how CVG listens to “tipsters” and reports things as possible fact.
As with all companies, we do lose people here from time to time (some of you may remember Bob McCabe recently left for example). And we do usually lose more after a project than at any otehr time. Why? Well, we have some pretty dedicated people here. Even though they have other real world issues (family concerns, returning to school, other employment opportunities, etc) they put them on hold till they finish the current game. Once their part is done, then they move on.
It happens. It’s not a bigthing and is pretty industry standard. I do laugh at the “20+” people mentioned in the quote though.

this wasn’t an actual “news article”, but instead a mere rumour piece… which has been refuted by Chris Priestly on their forums… I added the quote to the original thread… this just looks like pure rumour mongering…
Nice one, Andy! I’m lovin’ all the Mass Effect news you and Hex are churning out nowadays! Shame this particular news article had to be about BioWare losing a tonne of staff though .:(
Turned out to be untrue anyway and was just a rumour by CVG that was exaggerated.
