Mass Effect: Dr. Greg Zeschuk Interview
Published by Hexadecimal on September 17, 2007
Recently, the folks at CVG sat down and spoke with the good Doctor himself, Bioware’s Greg Zeschuk about the upcoming blockbuster, Mass Effect. Through the course of the interview, he discusses such topics as the pressure they’ve been under creating the game, downloadable content, the upcoming sequels and their hopes for the future of lifecycle of the 360.
Exclusively to 360 all the way?
Zeschuk: Can’t really comment on that aspect yet, it’s too far into the future. Thinking a year in to the future is a big challenge these days.
The law we can’t control is the length of the console cycle. I hope, I hope, I hope that this cycle is longer than the last one. We kind of just got started last cycle and it kind of ended when our second game came out. Downloadable content could also bridge the gap by giving you new little islands of story between the big game releases.

I just bought the game and was wondering how long it took you to link together the wonderful psychology of all the races and individual characters. I am currently going through college at full sail to become a game developer and I think mass effect is an incredible game with unlimited potential. I don’t know what connection to Pandemic Studios, I am really interested in the games you make. If there is any information you could give me, I would appreciate it greatly.
